A letter from the desk of CHNC’s CEO…
HOUSTON, TX, March 30, 2022 – China Infrastructure Construction Corp (OTC: CHNC)
It is with great pleasure that I take a couple of minutes out of my day to share this piece of great industry muse with our shareholders, associates, partners, and allies.
First of all, as most of you may already know, our U.S Congress is once more looking at the H.R.3617 - MORE Act which aims to remove cannabis from the Controlled Substances Act and promote the expungement and resentencing of nonviolent cannabis convictions. The U.S House of Representatives will hold a vote this week on the bill previously approved in December 2020 but that has yet to hear the Senate’s verdict.
In addition, Puerto Rico, Mexico are actually, as we speak, working on legalizing cannabis for adult use. The bills looking to decriminalize adult-use cannabis in Mexico are the Federal Law for the Regulation of Cannabis and the reform of the General Health Act: in Puerto Rico is House Bill 1191, which would legalize the possession of up to 28 grams of cannabis for those over 21 years of age: and in Colombia, there have been bills providing hope for the decriminalization of adult-use, including the currently archived 2021 Constitutional Reform discussed by the Colombian Congress.
We are particularly enjoying this information because those are not the only countries that are taking a step further in destroying these antiquated legal parameters which cannabis has been slaved to for so many years.
Finally, we are seeing our efforts being able to turn the corner. Furthermore, as you can imagine, the above-mentioned matters are of particular interest to CHNC because we are in the process to introduce our company’s name change to Cannabis Bioscience International Holdings, which will identify our brand as what we truly are.
More than ever, CHNC is committed to achieving its scientific goals regarding the medical properties of cannabis and the impact of cannabinoids on general wellness. Cannabis is an alternative medication, and that is how we will approach the plant in the research field. With all things being equal, and with this much wind at our back we are more determined than ever to continue to create formulations that could probably help and provide a better quality of life for patients with epilepsy, cancer, fibromyalgia, glaucoma, osteogenesis imperfecta, etc.
We are certainly living in interesting times for the cannabis industry, we have the privilege to witness crucial moments of this far too long social and legal fight, and we could probably soon start looking ahead to better times but this will be achieved thanks to actions in compliance with three key factors: legalization, education, and research.
